It seems the most common question these days from our new customers, once we pass the technology ‘sniff-test’, is ‘who are we?’. People want to deal with people. Technology, while very important, comes in second to the expertise of the people behind the product.
We’re publishers. We’re marketers. We’re journalists, advertising consultants, graphic designers and… programmers. We build on opensource and proprietary software and we advise newspaper and magazine publishers on technology, systems, best practice and even the simple stuff, like ‘how much should I charge for an online banner ad?’
In short, when you engage EzyMedia, you get the whole partnership. Depending on how you want to grow your business and where you want to put your resources, you may want to outsource your website management, part of your sales (you simply must have local sales presence!), content, email campaigns, page layout, ad design and more.
Everyone is looking for innovative thought-leaders and game-changers to join their teams, yet most still recruit via public job listings and time-consuming interviews. When a publisher does find a good sales person, often they still need training in advertising and publishing processes. A graphic designer might show flair in Adobe, but has little idea of press-deadline pressures. A journalist might write brilliant copy, but they can get a bit precious when you sit them with the ad reps to gain a better appreciation of the dollar-end of the business. Post a job position and hope for the best of everything all wrapped into one person at an affordable price. I can’t say I have ever had much luck with that strategy.
Try something different. Trial us for a website facelift. If that works well, commission a couple of articles. If that works well, give us half of your next publication to produce. Give us a few ads to design. We’re not suggesting you drop key staff who have been with you for many years. Your graphic designer could be better focused on local opportunities, features, ad-proposals, posters, sponsorships etc. Your journalist could be getting close, deep and personal on a handful of key stories, while we take care of the editing of public submissions, or production of original generic article fillers. We could be setting up your sales reps with appointments.
EzyMedia represents where the publishing industry is heading. We’re simply here first. There are no other companies in the world that offer the range of products and support we offer newspaper and magazine publishers, certainly not at our very affordable rates. Yes, there are plenty industry magazine production houses, but that’s not us. This is your business, we’re always in the background, an email or phone call away.
All our team members are available for consultancies and focused contracts, ranging from newspaper and magazine publishing to corporate branding and content marketing. When you hire an EzyMedia staff member, you gain the surrounding resources of a combined 51-years of industry experience in their colleagues. Best of all, if after Day-1 you are unsatisfied, you haven’t lost all that time recruiting and training newbies.
Please do not hesitate to email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions with which I or my team may be able to assist you. References for all our staff members and projects available on request.
