It seems the most common question these days from our new customers, once we pass the technology ‘sniff-test’, is ‘who are we?’. People want to deal with people. Technology, while very important, comes in second to the expertise of the people behind the product.
We’re publishers. We’re marketers. We’re journalists, advertising consultants, graphic designers and… programmers. We build on opensource and proprietary software and we advise newspaper and magazine publishers on technology, systems, best practice and even the simple stuff, like ‘how much should I charge for an online banner ad?’

When a publisher does find a good sales person, often they still need training in advertising and publishing processes. Give us a few ads to design. We’re not suggesting you drop key staff who have been with you for many years. Your graphic designer could be better focused on local opportunities, features, ad-proposals, posters, sponsorships etc. Your journalist could be getting close, deep and personal on a handful of key stories, while we take care of the editing of public submissions, or production of original generic article fillers. We could be setting up your sales reps with appointments.
